MU - Mauritius

Mauritius is known for its exceptional natural beauty. In his travel diary Following the Equator, Mark Twain noted that “one has the impression that Mauritius was created first and then paradise, and that paradise was copied from Mauritius”. It is surrounded by the coral reef, which over time has produced the white sand of the beaches.

In addition to the main island, the republic of Mauritius also includes the islands of Saint Brandon and Rodrigues and the Agalega islands. The territory competent for the Republic of Mauritius is part of the Mascarene Islands, together with the French island of Reunion, located 200 km southwest.
