The main cities, besides the capital, Yaoundé, are: Bafoussam, Bamenda, Bertoua, Buéa, Douala, Ebolowa, Édéa, Eséka, Garoua, Guidiguis, Kaelé, Kousséri, Kumba, Maroua, Mokolo, Mora, Moutourwa, Ngaoundéré, Touloum, Yagoua and Yokadouma.

The Cameroonian railway network consists of two railway sections that leave from Douala, one towards the North-West for Nkongsamba built in 1912 by the German colonists and the other towards the North-East for Ngaoundéré which passes through Yaoundé.
