GL - Greenland

Territories and tourist destinations:

Southern Greenland – Southern Greenland includes the centers of Narsaq, Qaqortoq, Nanortalik and Narsarsuaq. It is the only region where agricultural activity is possible, albeit in a limited form and cattle breeding. The coast is indented with numerous fjords that lend themselves to being explored by boat. In summer, temperatures often reach 18 °, a real record for Greenland.
Western Greenland – The western region has the privilege of overlooking an ice-free sea even in winter. Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, is located here. The remaining centers are described below:
Eastern Greenland – The Eastern Region overlooking the Atlantic Ocean includes two coastal villages, Tasiilaq and Ittoqqortoormiit plus a third named Kulusuk located on an island off the coast. Kulusuk has an airport with direct flights to Iceland. Tourists come and go in the day.
Northern Greenland – The eastern half of the northern region was established as a national park, the largest in the world. Qaanaaq is the northernmost inhabited center, just 1,300 km away from the North Pole. Disko Bugt (Disko Bay) [1], far to the south, is instead a place where tourists gather, attracted by the spectacle of floating Icebergs.
