HT - Haiti

Geographical notes:
Mostly mountainous, with a vast central plain to the north. The highest point is Chaine de la Selle with its 2777 m.

When to go:
Tropical and semi-arid, where the eastern mountains cut the trade winds out. Haiti is located in the middle of the hurricane belt (hurricane-prone area) and is subject to severe storms from June to November. Occasional floods, earthquakes and droughts occur.
