At the table:
Pupusa – A typical dish based on a mixture of corn flour or rice, stuffed with red beans first boiled then ground, chicharon and local cheese. The dough is stuffed and then cooked on the plate greased with sunflower oil. They are served hot with a side dish of cabbage marinated in vinegar, onion and spiced tomato sauce.
