The Balearic Islands are a seaside tourist destination well known above all for the numerous hotels with international animation and a rich nightlife. The Balearic archipelago is divided into two groups of islands: the Islas Gimnesias to which Menorca, Mallorca, Cabrera and other islets belong, and the Islas Pitiusas which includes Ibiza, Formentera and other islets. The most populated island is Majorca, followed by Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera, while the most populated city is Palma de Mallorca.
