The best season to visit the country is from late March to late June even if each period is fine (it depends a lot on the area you want to visit). Summers are usually hot only partially mitigated at high altitudes. By contrast, winters are harsh everywhere except for the slope on the Persian Gulf and, to a much lesser extent, than on the Caspian Sea.
