When to go
The preferable periods to visit the country are the months of May, June, September and October, when the climate is more pleasant, moderately hot and with little rainfall. In winter or in the rainy summer season, consider the fact that rainfall (snowy or rainy) can be long and abundant, making travel difficult or impossible, especially in the most isolated regions. Also keep in mind that, in the high season (March-October), prices are generally higher.

It is preferable to visit the country in a period during which there is a good number of hours of sunshine: at night, thanks to the frequent lack of electricity, darkness reigns supreme even in the main urban centers. Bringing a flashlight and a good supply of batteries is certainly useful, even just to move around the corridors of hotels.
