Below is a list of the Vietnamese regions and their major tourist attractions:

       Northern Vietnam – Welcomes some of the most beautiful views of Vietnam, as well as the capital and the opportunity to visit the indigenous mountain tribes.
       Central coast of Vietnam – The ancient city of Hue is the home of the most recent Vietnamese kings and Hoi An which is one of the most beautiful old coastal cities in Vietnam.
       Central Highlands of Vietnam – Lush forest covered hills where indigenous tribes and occasionally some elephants live.
       Southern Vietnam – The economic engine of Vietnam, built around Ho Chi Minh, but also covers the lush and little-visited area of the Mekong Delta, the huge rice paddy of Vietnam.
